Slow Trips: My travel watercolors in urban sketching style

Creative work in beautiful places has a special recreational value. On this slow trip, you will experience the art of seeing and a new quality of time. Guided by an experienced artist, you will capture your impressions in the form of travel watercolors in urban sketching style, creating a special connection to your surroundings.

The course offer can be booked by groups at any time from April to September 2025 and can be held by appointment with one of the artists.

Cost

Adults: € 165,- (the experience is available for groups of 4 or more adults)

Teenagers (from 12 years): € 132,- (can only be booked in combination with at least 4 adult tickets)

Small group ticket (1-6 people): € 650,- 

Exclusive experience without other participants

Children under 12 years: € 0,- (are welcome to bring along to the experience, but will not receive painting utensils and will not be supervised by the artist)

From a group size of 7-12 people, the adult ticket is reduced to € 75,- and the ticket for young people aged 12 and over is reduced to € 60,-. The difference will be refunded by the organizer if the standard ticket is paid in advance.

Specification of optional extras 

Catering: Cold snack (with meat, vegetarian or vegan) from the Pöllau farm store can be organized by the organizer on request for € 12,- per person.

What to bring

Painting utensils will be provided during the experience. If you are interested, an Urban Sketching starter package can be purchased on site for € 45,- per person

The artists

Julia Bauernfeind, born in Klagenfurt, studied graphic design, illustration and painting at California State University Long Beach in the USA. Since graduating with a Master of Fine Arts, the freelance artist has lived and worked in Graz.

Jana Grabner studied design, illustration and art education in Graz, Denmark and Switzerland. Illustration trip to Madagascar for her master's thesis. Working as an art educator in Graz since 2015, co-organizer of the Urban Sketchers Graz meetings. www.janagrabner.com

Eftichia Schlamadinger, born in Graz, has been working full-time as a freelance artist, certified cultural manager and lecturer for painting & graphics at international art academies and art institutions since 2003. Director of the mobile art school ArtCourses, co-founder of the summer art festival "Styrian Summer Art” and has been on painting trips throughout Europe for 20 years with participants who love to travel.
