Workshop description:
"Found objects and materials such as wood, paper, sheet metal, wire and metal are my working materials. Processed and interacted with by me, they tell new stories in a new setting or at least give an idea of them.”
Inspired by the art movement of surrealism, we create small-format, three-dimensional objects in a kind of miniature showcase.
Our personal finds and collectibles will provide initial inspiration. Based on this, we will venture beyond the decorative and artistically represent our very personal themes with imagination, sensitivity or even irony and humor. The aim is to explore pictorial compositions, incorporate different materials and techniques, mix figurative and abstract elements and work in a variety of ways.
We clean and edit our collected oddities, creating new space for them in old books, boxes, cartons and tins. Playfully, whimsically or poetically staged, the everyday takes on meaning, encourages us to look, arouses curiosity or memories and opens our eyes to the hidden.
