Workshop description

This exciting practical workshop is for anyone who wants to gain camera experience: from talented amateurs and theatre actors to extras who would like to train for a speaking role. The workshop is also of interest to trained actors who need an actual demo scene.

Experienced TV director Rainer Hackstock (including 25 episodes of the ORF/ZDF hit series SOKO Kitzbühel) will not only explain how to work on a film set, several demo scenes will also be prepared and shot, and many questions will be answered in addition to practical exercises during an introduction to acting in front of the camera: When does it look real? What does the camera see? How should I speak? What do the eyes do? What is an axis jump? Afterwards, scenes of two people are prepared, rehearsed and filmed. Those who are not the main actors act as extras in the background and are also used for team functions (sound assistant, props, continuity).

By the end of the course, each participant will have worked on at least one clip. The raw material will be made available to the participants and, if desired, the editing can also be done professionally by Rainer Hackstock with music, sounds and fine colour adjustments.
