Workshop description:

Colours, shapes and composition form the basis of the visual language in which motifs and themes find their expression.

In this workshop, you will be shown the basics as well as the individually advanced design possibilities. This opens up an artistic development that can find both figurative and abstract pictorial solutions.

By testing and experimenting, you will expand your own forms of expression and gain increasing creative confidence and trust in your own artistic expressiveness.

Please bring with you:

Acrylic colours (pigments): White 500ml; basic colours 250 ml each: cadmium red, ultramarine blue, lemon yellow, primary yellow, permanent green, brown, black, various colours of your choice (favourite colours), acrylic binder.8-10 canvases (50x70, 60x80, 80x80, 80x100) or more depending on the painting style. 3-5 sheets of paper for conception (A3).

Various brushes for acrylic, at least one wide bristle brush 100mm, natural charcoal, graphite pencils, ink, palette knife, painting knife, adhesive tape

Workshop leader

Helga Piffl works as an artist, creative trainer and painting/design therapist in Graz. She received her artistic training from Prof. Dr Kiffmann (Graz), Prof. Milan Knizak (Prague), Sr W. List (Graz), Prof. G. Rühm (Cologne), Prof. A. Svoboda (Vienna), K. Winter (Salzburg).

 

Trained as a creative trainer and painting and design therapist at the Institute for Painting and Design Therapy Erwin Bakowsky (Vienna). Since 1996 she has been leading painting seminars in Styria, Carinthia, Tuscany, La Gomera and in her own studio in Graz. She uses creative media in adult self-awareness and with children and young people.
