Workshop description:
From the versatile, beautiful and inspiring surroundings of the picturesque village of Pöllau with the basilica, the magnificent castle park and many large and small motifs, we will spend three days trying out a variety of drawing techniques, urban sketching methods and watercolor mixing techniques. In simple steps, image structure, perspective and composition will be explained based on the selected motif. We will work on and refine our techniques and learn from each other, and the results will be beautiful personal memories of our weekend in Pöllau.

All graphic and water-soluble drawing materials are welcome.
Suggested materials:
a good drawing pad or sketchbook and 1 watercolor pad, various drawing pens and materials, such as pencils, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, fineliners, etc.
Plasticine and eraser.
Watercolor paints and brushes in various sizes, colored drawing paper (sheets of Canson), if desired

Workshop leader
Julia Bauernfeind, born in Klagenfurt, lived in the USA for ten years, where she studied graphic design, illustration and painting at California State University Long Beach. Since graduating with a Master of Fine Arts, the freelance artist has lived and worked in Graz.
