Vocal soundscapes - singing weekend with Ángela Tröndle

Workshop description:

Singing weekend with vocal experiments, text games and atmospheric soundscapes.

During these three days we will experience a musical-emotional interplay in which our voices play the leading role, both as individuals and in the choral sound. We will engage in breathing and physical exercises that will give us a more conscious awareness of our instrument and prepare us both mentally and vocally for playful, improvisational circle singing.

We will also enjoy the variety of polyphony by learning small song fragments from me. In giving and taking words, tones, sounds and noises together, in listening to and reacting to each other in the midst of freely intuitive improvisations, each participant can bring in their own personal touch. We will also work with texts and text settings and create musical miniatures together, which will emerge from the rich treasure trove of ideas of all participants.

The course is aimed at singing enthusiasts aged 16 and over. Previous musical knowledge in reading music is not necessary, but experience in choral singing or similar is helpful.
