‘Let us stand resolutely and steadfastly for humanity and peace. In the shared moment, a statement for diversity is formed. A field of empathy. For a happy, peaceful life together! Encouraging!’
Following the women's networking meeting on 7 March under the motto ‘Bread and Roses’ in the 12er Haus, the women and other women and men from the town and the surrounding area gathered on the main square for an atmospheric ‘feldstellen’. The concept came from Heidrun Primas, who led the event.
The lights on the main square formed the centre of a honeycomb structure where the participants positioned themselves and thus took up sufficient individual space without losing contact with their neighbours. This social sculpture thus represented a directly tangible symbol of social cohesion that does not restrict personal freedom, as Heidrun Primas explained, framed by the singing of Pöllau singer and midwife Martina Hirt, the participants contributed their feelings and thoughts on the topic. Author and artist Felicitas Fröhlich performed her spontaneous poetry slam text.
And we walk and walk,
point out what we see.
Link our knowledge - like a single neuronal network,
are a unique piecework.
Our wishes are thought out loud,
our plans are made tangible.
And we walk and walk,
pointing to what we see.
Recognise me - recognise us.
What I do - what we care for - because:
We care - for a common tomorrow!
And we walk and walk,
point out what we see.
We women* strengthen ourselves together,
Together it is always better than alone.
A network catches us and lifts us up,
Something new begins: and yet.
And we walk and walk,
point out what we see.
The voice of us women* is important, self-doubt is void.
Speak it out - speak it up!
Have no fear - We have your back!
For solidarity in full cans!
For bread & for roses!
