The Federal Chancellery has informed us that Styrian Summer Art has been selected as a finalist in the ‘Europe in Art & Culture’ category by the expert jury of the Europa-Staatspreises 2023 ‘You have shown that your project makes a significant contribution to achieving the common goals of European understanding and strengthening European awareness,’ said the jury.
Alps Adriatic Alliance "Cultural-Pitches for New Bridges" was a networking trip of local cultural initiatives to Novi Sad, European Capital of Culture 2022. The central item on the programme was an international cultural conference in which 17 cultural initiatives from Styria, Carinthia, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Serbia presented their cultural initiatives and art projects as examples and explored the possibilities of cross-border project partnerships. The project was organised by Styrian Summer Art and made possible by funding from the Alps Adriatic Alliance .The conference was followed with great attention by the political leaders of the participating countries and the Serbian media.
The winners of each category will be announced at an award ceremony during the Europe Gala on Europe Day, Tuesday, 9 May 2023, at the Sofiensäle in Vienna.
