The PASSAGE VOLUNTEER CAMP is a two-week internship for young adults from Denmark, Austria and other EU countries. It takes place in Denmark around the street theatre festival PASSAGE Festival.
Would you like to join us? During the first week you will all take part in a workshop organised by ‘Catch - Centre for Art, Design and Technology’. You will work practically and creatively to develop a production for the PASSAGE Festival - a sound piece, installation, poetry or something completely different.
In the second week of the camp, you will take part in both the preparation and realisation of the festival. Tasks may relate to wayfinding and communication / dealing with the audience / preparing venues / ticketing / backstage tasks etc. The tasks will be tailored to you, your interests and competences.
The PASSAGE Festival is one of the largest international street theatre festivals in Northern Europe.
It takes place every year in the last week of July in Helsingør, Denmark, and presents everything from spectacular circus and acrobatic juggling to classic clown street theatre and experimental, site-specific performances.
All presented side by side in public spaces - on streets and squares, on the beach, in the forest or in the gym. Places that we all use in our everyday lives, framed in very different ways by art. Every year, more than 100 professional artists from all over the world perform at the festival in Helsingør, while the festival has become quite an attraction for visitors. With the PASSAGE Volunteer Camp we want to facilitate connections between you, the festival team, the performers, the audience and the 14 other young Europeans participating in the camp.
