Title: 3G-Tattoos
Category: Mixed Media / Concept Art
Description: The 3G-Tattoo: Mirror image, ornament & symbol of 21st century society? In some cultures, body markings served as a defence against evil spirits or diseases and were used to mark one's ethical origin. The literature mentions other functions of tattoos as membership marks, ritual or sacred symbols or pure body ornaments. In the present day, tattoos serve as an expression of exclusivity, self-expression, a desire for recognition and demarcation, and to intensify sexual stimuli. During the coronavirus pandemic, the term ‘3G’ has become a buzzword, and the concept behind it is clearly characterising. ‘3G’ becomes the social benchmark and is reflected in the outside world.
