9th Art Machine vernissage with miniature opera on 21 April

New works by Paula Arnold, studio ASYNCHROME, Helga Chibidziura, Lena Violetta Leitner, Julia Antonia Marckonato and Barbara Schmid were presented, and the Opernpucherl performed a mini opera.

The miniature opera ‘Der Berggeist vom Schöckl’, a joint production by the Graz Opera and Graz University of the Arts, opened the event in the  12er Haus. Afterwards, art mediator  Wanda Deutsch presented the new Art Machine artists and their works on the main square.

 

Six artists' positions in the new cycle

studio ASYNCHROME also deals with amorphous and hybrid body forms in miniature format for the Art Machine. 
Lena Violetta Leitner documents her stay in Finland with photographs.
Paula Arnold poses the question of fullness, emptiness and utilised space.
Julia Antonia Marckonato thematises the rampant extinction of species.
Helga Chibidziura addresses an urgent appeal to the electorate, spiced with irony.

Mini narrative opera by Christoph Breidler and Susanne F. Wolf.
The Opernpucherl of Oper Graz and Kunstuni Graz travelled to the countryside to present the first part of their story about hopeless love, hidden treasures and the mountain spirit - with a small cast and lively scenes.
